Let’s hope that Apple opens up the iPhone to 3rd party widgets so I can maintain my backpack/basecamp w/o having to pinch a website in the browser.

Missing from the page is Spoiltchild’s Basecode. We use it every day. Basecamp message posts and comments are crippled without it. Basecode 2 is underway, but information from the folks at Spoiltchild is presently hard to come by. Check it out no your own and pursue additional information.

We should have our basecamp integration done for the live version of our app. LessAccounting.com ...along with freshbooks, blinksale and tickspot integration.

Anyway, I wanted to tell you about my definition of a Ta-da list. Here it is:

Ta-Da List: it’s like a to-do list, but with a to-do list I’m focused on all that I need to get done; I get overwhelmed and exhausted by my to-do list. With a Ta-Da List I’m focused on my objective and the next step I need to take to get there; I feel excited and energized.

I have a very specialized rails app that is coming out soon (now I just need a CSS designer :-S) which would be totally useless (well almost) if it wasnt for its integration with Basecamp.

The API allows us to create applications that wouldnt justify themselves if they were alone but taken in a package, they are suddently useful.

Cant wait for the HR API too!

I would echo Luke’s sentiment—I really hope that I’ll be able to access Basecamp info on an iPhone. My cell contract is up in June so that would help justify the hefty iPhone cost as a “business expense”.

Yep, we’ve tried to use your API to build a real nice app but we’ve emailed you several times for help which can’t be found on your forum and you fail to reply. Perhaps your API needs better documentation.

The API has been great for building a real ecosystem around Basecamp!

Basecamp’s success has come from having a superior service offered via software online that customers find tremendous value in—value that exceeds that of bloated project management tools that crowd all manner of tools into that have ever been mentioned in arcane users’ focus groups.

Carry the Day has been building TrailBlazer, a mobile Basecamp integration solution, first for Windows Mobile—though others to follow, and we’ve been very pleased with the access/functionality provided via the API . Kudos to 37signals for providing this means for customers to seek additional functionality and for other businesses to provide dynamic growth that can extend 37signals’ reach into markets they might otherwise not reach.
