I agree with blake. Very vulgar (that’s why I never watched the movie), but The animation was really cool. Really gave meaning to the words, which is kind of weird. I wonder if/how this could be used in a couple of projects I’m working on…

brilliant and deep. Vulgar though? To each his ownfor sure, but surely less vulgar than flip-flops, the evening news, US tax law, Hummers, etc… Who will protect the children?
Alas, if you don’t understand written/spoken English, then you won’t think it’s vulgar, and the characters may even appear to be a type of pseudo-abstract art. :)
This sorta reminds me of a certain Designer’s Republic video which you’ll likely like if you found the above enjoyable:

Here’s another great vid by Hexstatic, with trippy visuals synced to the lyrics:

Dan, nice link to the Moby vid! I haven’t seen that one before; he’s a great duo with Mylene Farmer, lots of emotion in that! The way the flat photos are flown-through reminds me of Royksopp’s Eple:

This is how proper typography is done, bitches. Well…. it could have used a couple of ”?” marks here and there….. Maybe after each question, or something. Just an idea. AAARRggggghhh!!!

Very cool… any idea what software was used to create this? After Effects?

this is fantastic!!! really awesome typography work!!!
(the other video from Presentation Zen is so lame.. doesn’t even compare)
Nice. Reminds me of an assignment from my first year Visual Studies class @ Ryerson University. Same deal – take a conversation and animate using text and graphic elements (i.e. lines and other shapes), but nothing recognizable like symbols or other “known” objects. No computers to be used for the assignment – all hand-drawn and shot frame by frame. And get this – no editing involved, so all shots and assets had to be planned in advance to have it turn out and sync properly. Challenging but a good exercise in thinking about motion, meaning and the medium.
You guts should look up a british animation called ‘Polly want a cracker” it shat on this over six years back. Want to find a link … but cant at the moment

It’s repulsive how vulgar it is, but at the same time, the animations are inspiring.

Anyone have any idea what font he used, or what application he used to make it?
Just wondering how difficult it would be to do something along those lines.
ray 08 Mar 07
what is the point of this? looks stupid and someone had too much spare time on their hands.
Ned 08 Mar 07
“Anyone have any idea what font he used, or what application he used to make it?” Yeah I’d really like to know that as well.
