I made a point of driving down that stretch of Lake Shore Drive yesterday night, to see the signs in person. Great stuff. Here’s another photo that shows some signs that didn’t get captured in the above photo.
The Trib had a halfway-decent article the other day about how the buildings set up those lights.
Not being an American (or even in America) I have had a hard time choosing who to support, as I enjoy watching it none the less. And last week I decided to go with Colts. Why? They’ve never been to the Superbowl before, and I like to go with the underdog :) But let’s hope it’s a good game whoever wins!
Peter Cooper, the Colts have been two the Super Bowl before. Twice I believe, as the Baltimore Colts. Are you aware that the Colts moved away from Baltimore in the middle of the night? Snuck away, basically.

Wow. The boss ok’s the idea, someone in the office sketches it up on their computer, they post a notice on each window sill and then someone walks around the building flipping the blinds. Thankfully the Chicago Tribune broke all this down into 10 easy to follow steps or i would never have got it.

Having done my research, right you are Carlivar! It seems they have won one Super Bowl each (though I guess when the BBC said the “Indianapolis Colts” had not won the Bowl, they were not technically lying). The Colts’ win was way back at Superbowl V, however, so I guess I’ll still go with them as they’ve had the least luck at it :)
To be honest, I don’t care who I support, but you gotta support someone otherwise it’s boring to watch.
Gotta admit, it was a great game for either side. Chicago would have creamed any other team playing against them. I wouldn’t admit it a few days ago, but they are a great team and proved a worthy adversary against the Colts.
From now on, I want to see all games played in the open atmosphere…sick of these climate controlled astroturf fields…this was one of the few games I’ve enjoyed this year because it seemed like a real game, and not just some arena for rich men to grab each others asses for an hour. It wouldn’t have been less of a game if this was regular season.

“30 other teams and 1500 players watch the show on their big screen TVs.”
As a Packers fan, I have to congratulate the Colts on making the Bears lose.
Congrats on their win too, I suppose…

and all of them end up not being champions.
What a great outlook on life you have Alex. Sitting on your couch and playing but losing in the big game is the same because “all of them end up not being champions.

It’s called shit-talking. It only needs to be a rational comment that makes it difficult for the recipient to appreciate the silver-lining in the cloud.
My outlook in life has nothing to do with the fact that history will remember the 2006 Chicago Bears much in the same light that it does the 2006 Oakland Raiders; two teams that played that year when the Colts won the Super Bowl.

Right now Boston city officials are scrambling because they think Chicago has a giant improvised bomb on one of its buildings.

I love seeing all of the orange and blue lights, too. Even the bridges near us (in River North) have been lit up this week. Go Bears!

Boston has always done that for the Red Sox in the post season.

Grossman, Grossman, Grossman. ( _ );
It’s a shame. Those two interceptions one possession after the other were just heartbreaking.
