Feedburner

The “ize” have it at Feedburner, which offers a tab called “Troubleshootize.”
YouTube

YouTube’s scheduled downtime screen features a mad scientist cooking up new concoctions.
Gifttagging

Gifttagging gets literal with tags that look like real-life tags.

That flock of tags is adorable.

seems more like a “school” of tags to me…

How could it take so long for one of us (starting with me…) to finally start representing tags with literal tags… doh!!

I actually chuckled out loud first time I saw the ‘troubleshootize’ on feedburner

Feedburner is simply oozing with personality. Very fefreshing to see in a world of Web 2.0 sameness.

From a usability standpoint, that YouTube screen is great. Instead of freaking out that the site is down, it leaves you feeling like something new and better is on the way. Better than the usual “Check back someday, because we’re too stupid to know what’s going on”.

@Dr Pete: I agree, it’s a nice change and gives a positive feeling rather than the usual negative one.
It’s irritating they can’t spell though. The plural of formula is formulae…

The same guy that did the mad scientist for youtube did a wizard for LinkedIn. http://www.linkedin.com/static?key=team
Good to see companies getting a sense of humor.

“Book” and “books”, “game” and “games” are really separate tags? Seems as if their time would have been better off spent on coding out plurals than improving aesthetics. And why is “DVD” lowercase and “CD” upper?
There’s also the problem that it seems the emphasize the length of the tag more, when it’s only the height the represents the popularity.
