D'oh! Never mind. I'm a doofus -- just ask Paperhead or alisha!

Does it have 802.11?

Would transplanting my brain into a horse's body be considered an ideal?

Somewhere inbetween here, k10k, and BuddhaNet.

Of course, my ideal lifestyle and my actual one don't quite intersect the way I'd like. But whose do?

Don, how many times do you have to be told?

Self responsibility (and therefore responsibility for all that's around us) will never catch on.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

Well, this looks at least a little like an invitation to post a link to one's website. So, here it is: www.kipingram.com. My focus is on science and rational thinking. I won't go into too much detail here; there is a faq on the site that lays out my basic point of view.

I hope this isn't an inappropriate comment.

Thanks,
Kip

But ~bc ... that's why they're called "ideals" :-)

Hey Kip, nice site. Well done and very interesting.

RE: Hydroponics -- I was growing some hydroponic lettuce a few years back, with the hope of having fresh salad during Thanksgiving. Went away for four days, and when I returned ... well ... the cat had decided that vermiculite was just like a kittie litter box.

I never got over that; I'm scarred for life :-)

well ... the cat had decided that vermiculite was just like a kittie litter box. Was the discovery made before or after the Thanksgiving dinner?

haha ... BEFORE ... LOL.

Where I'd rather be.

I am the one in the middle. The water was like glass, and it was so warm even though it was early March.

Fajalar -- BEAUTIFUL! I have a Perception Acadia that I use to muck about in the local lakes and rivers ... but I'd absolutely *love* to go on a tour sometime.

Yeah, that trip was the culmination of a class (my last semester in university, of course) that taught me how to teach people to kayak. We took off out of Seward, Alaska and paddled for a few days along the coast. We essentially followed the green-dotted line that goes north.

Two things I want to do is circumnavigate Sumatra, and paddle in Belize. Not much in the way of paddling opportunity in Central Illinois.:) And after the past few days that I had, I could really go for some paddling. Unfortunately, Sumatra and Belize are out of my budget right now.

Fajalar -- if you ever get back East, in Pennsylvania, with your kayak (yeah, like you're gonna come this way and just *happen* to have your kayak), we'll head up to my cabin in the mountains and kayak the lake.

Where I'd rather be. Flying kites in San Diego. It's amazing how different one week can be from another.

My own site is all over the shop like a hairy goat (as my old boss used to say), which may be an expression of what you could call my ideals, but my Lama's site gets closer to the point.
