Inline Info On Shipping
Put holiday shipping information on product pages.
Not every shopper will click through to a page dedicated to holiday shipping information. That's why inline shipping information (i.e. when a product page contains details of relevant shipping issues right on the same page) is a good idea.
Amazon.com leads the pack on this issue. As the holiday delivery deadline approaches, a large banner informs customers how many days left they have to order and receive the item in time.
At other times, Amazon.com provides includes a paragraph on product pages that explains the various shipping deadlines.
When holiday shipping is no longer available, Amazon.com explains, "This item will arrive after December 24."
